Train Obsessed

I started loving trains when I was 2 years old.  My first train was Sir Handel from Thomas Wooden Railway.  My second train was Thomas.  Now I have a lot in both wooden railway and Tomy and Trackmaster.  My favorite is wooden.  The wooden ones have more strength because you push them.  They have cool magnet couplings.  And there are a million different characters, trucks, and coaches.  I have an A train from New York City.

Now I am getting interested in model trains.  I still like woodens, but I think model trains are cool.  They have better destinations.  They run on their own.  They have cool realistic stuff - lights and sounds.  They have cool remote controls that can change the switches, and the engines can go forward and backward.

I might get model trains someday, but I don't know where to put a display.  I want to get HO gauge because they have lots of interesting engines and diesels.  They also have HO Thomas.  I would like a CSX engine and I also like the Lionel catalogs.

I think trains are good for kids because they teach measuring skills when setting up tracks.  You must figure out how many pieces the set will need.  Thomas teaches LOTS of lessons.

  4. It was fast and bumpy. It took a long time. Mommy tells me I've been on Amtrak many times, including one time in a private sleeper compartment. I've also been on Thomas the Tank Engine at Strasburg, PA.
